Beavan Flanagan

Composer, Musician, Landscape Architect

About

I am a composer and musician from Montréal, Canada. My professional life has been split mostly between Canada and the UK, having lived in the north of England from 2013 to 2021. During that time I was involved with the UK’s experimental music scene, where I composed music for different ensembles and players, and sometimes performed in various venues in Huddersfield, Manchester and London. I was also studying towards a PhD in music composition at the University of Huddersfield, where I carried out research and created varied musical works for acoustic instruments, electronics as well as speculative text and web pieces.

I also work as a landscape architect, currently as part of a worker’s cooperative called Le Picbois.
